Description
Reflecting on her involvement in the development of service-learning for American higher education, Professor Permaul has learned that service-learning, when practiced serves society, the learner and the educational institution extremely well. She finds that service-learning as a pedagogy is very compatible with most learning and developmental theories. She further finds that service-learning is a powerful instructional tool, while fulfilling many social challenges and needs.
