On 24 June, Rebecca Johnson (Founding Co-chair, International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons, 2017 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate) delivered "Lecture One: Nuclear basics from weapons to power: what do we need to know?" to explain issues about nuclear power plants, nuclear weapons, gender, colonialism, and the status of people’s movements for disarmament and peace today.
Rebecca Johnson is a feminist peace activist, 1980s Greenham Peace Camper, justice campaigner opposing war and violence (through Women in Black and MillionWomenRise), founding Co-Chair of the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN, 2017 Nobel Peace Prize laureate), Green Security spokesperson (UK) and Acronym Institute director.
