On Day 3 (30 June 2019), in the session of “China: Trajectory of 70 Years” moderated by LI Siu Lei Leung (Lingnan University, Hong Kong), WEN Tiejun (Renmin University of China, China) delivered a lecture on "China’s Strategic Transition under the Global Crisis", while DAI Jinhua (Peking University, China) delivered a lecture on "Subjects of Modernity in China".

After the lectures, SUN Bai (Renmin University of China, China) intervened in the discussion and focused on the issue of historical writings in popular culture, while YAN Xiaohui (Green Ground Eco-Tech Centre, China) intervened and focused on indebted society and its future. During the discussion session, MUTO Ichiyo (People’s Plan Study Group, Japan), Rebecca JOHNSON (Founding Co-chair, ICAN, 2017 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate), Katherine GIBSON (Institute for Cultural and Society, Western Sydney, Australia), and Ariel SALLEH (University of Sydney, Australia) raised several questions. The speakers responded accordingly.
