研討會 Symposium

本研討會側重於與明朝內府印刷出版相關的學術研究,包括手抄本和刻印本,目的是分析明代書籍的生產、複製與傳播。這次研討會旨在探討宮廷的角色,特別是皇帝和皇后作為重要原動力,如何藉編纂書籍教化兒女,及頒行天下推行政策,同時介入朝廷政治以至社會風氣。此外,研討會也將討論明朝廷與民間刊刻市場和社會文化的互動,及其在東亞文化傳播中所發揮的作用。

The symposium specifically focuses on scholarly research related to Ming imperial printing and publishing, which involved both hand-copied manuscripts and printed volumes. The intention is to analyse the printed materials dating from the Ming dynasty, including their production, reproduction, and dissemination. This symposium seeks to examine the role of the imperial court, focusing especially on emperors and empresses as active agents who utilised publications to educate their children, spur the public to action, and implement policies, while engaging with court politics and the rest of society. In addition, the symposium will discuss the impact of the Ming imperial court on marketplace and socio-cultural dynamics, as well as its role in cultural transmission in East Asia.
