"Walking with Lingnanians" Fundraising Walkathon 2014 was held on 19 October 2014 with the participation of more than 1,000 students, alumni, teachers, staff and friends of the University. Over HK$3.68 million was raised in support of the University’s whole-person development programmes. The walkathon started from Tai Po Waterfront Park and proceeded to Hong Kong Science Park along the promenade. Officiating guests of the kick-off ceremony were The Hon Bernard Charnwut Chan, Chairman of the University Council and President Leonard K Cheng.

嶺南大學於2014年10月19日舉行「嶺步同行籌款日2014」，逾千名學生、校友、教職員及各界友好參與，共籌得超過368萬元善款，為學生全人發展項目提供經費。2014年度的嶺步同行籌款日以大埔海濱公園為起點，沿吐露港步行至香港科學園。開步典禮由嶺大校董會主席陳智思議員太平紳士及鄭國漢校長主禮。
