Description
Lingnan Education in Hong Kong traces its origins back to 1922 when Dr. Chung Wing Kwong, the Vice-President of Canton Christian College at the time, advocated to establish a primary school in Hong Kong. He delegated Mr. Szto Wai to form a school management committee in collaboration with local gentries and merchants, and to raise funds. Classes officially commenced on 16 February 1922p with a total of 66 new students. This school gradually transformed into Lingnan Middle School and put under the stewardship of Lingnan Middle School Ltd. which was then merged with Lingnan College Ltd. in 1969 to become Lingnan Education Organization (LEO).
