影片介紹一連串以「作育英才．建設香港」為主題的教育活動，活動由政府與嶺南學院聯合籌辦、教育統籌局及教育署協辦，於1997年6月16日至7月22日期間舉行，包括教育巡迴展、開幕禮、大匯演、嘉年華、文娛晚會、國際會議等等，讓市民回顧香港教育制度從過去到現在的演變，並藉此反思過去、展望將來，前瞻性教育和未來發展的關係。
