Description
2002至04年間，游靜博士在澳門、香港及日本札幌的少年感化院分別主持過媒體創作工作坊，教導三地的青少年運用攝影、錄像、表演、數碼錄音等媒體再現及重寫自我，讓這些被當作一種社會禁忌、被假裝看不見、聽不到的少年罪犯，在防守嚴密、透過服從紀律、接受監控以「自我更新」的環境中，重新尋索與自我對話、成為主體的一些可能性。在引導他們自我書寫的過程中，游靜博士也不得不重新審視“我”之作為一個教育工作者、媒體創作者與社會運動工作者多重身份的文化構成，及對這些文化構成中的教育、媒體、社會改變等定位進行重新思辯。此次分享將以香港沙田男童院的經驗為主。

游靜博士，香港大學英文及比較文學系學士，紐約社會研究新校媒體研究碩士，倫敦大學媒體系博士。曾於加州大學聖地牙哥校址、密西根大學、台灣政治大學等任教，現為嶺南大學文化研究系副教授。著有《性⁄別光影：香港電影中的性與性別文化研究》(香港電影評論學會，2005)、《Filming Margins: Tang Shu Shuen, A Forgotten Hong Kong Woman Director》(Hong Kong University Press, 2004) 、《另起爐灶》(1996)、散文集《裙拉褲甩》(1999)、詩集《不可能的家》(2000)，編有《性政治》等書。電影/錄像作品多種，包括劇情長片《好郁》等。
Cultural Studies Seminar Series, 2006-07
The public seminar was part of the Cultural Studies Seminar Series, an ongoing series of informal talks, jointly organized by the Department of Cultural Studies and Kwan Fong Cultural Research and Development Programme (KFCRD), Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences, in which researchers in dialogue with leading cultural critics, designers, producers and entrepreneurs working in and around Hong Kong. Aimed at an undergraduate audience, the Seminar used a “chat show” format to encourage students to join in the discussion of new cultural research and development projects.
