"Walking with Lingnanians" Fundraising Walkathon 2018 was held on 21 October 2018 with the participation of over a thousand students, alumni, teachers, staff and friends of the University. The donation raised in this event will support the University development and provide financial support to students in need, especially those being the first generation in their families who receive university education, to enjoy all-round student development programmes. The walkathon started the walk from the Lingnan University campus, and completed the 5km Circle Walk between the campus and Tuen Mun Riverside Park. The event was honoured by the presence of Mr Kevin YEUNG Yun- Hung, JP, Secretary for Education of the HKSAR Government as the officiating guest.
嶺南大學於2018年10月21日舉行「嶺步同行籌款日2018」，逾千名學生、校友、教職員及各界友好參與。活動之捐款除了用作大學發展外，更會支援有經濟困難的嶺大學生，尤其為家庭中第一代接受大學教育且有經濟需要的學生提供資助 。2018年度的嶺步同行籌款日以嶺大校園為起點，環迴校園及屯門河 畔公園，全程約五公里。活動獲教育局局長楊潤雄先生擔任主禮嘉賓。
