1898年董事局委任尹士嘉博士出任監 督，1899年於廣州市四牌樓福音堂 內重啟「格致書院」運作， 時有 教員3人，學生17人。
The Board of Trustees appointed Rev. O.E. Wisner as Provost in 1898, and later reopened the College in 1899 at the Gospel Church at Sipailou in Guangzhou, with 3 teaching staff and 17 students.
