1912年5月3日，孫中山先生首次蒞臨嶺南學堂參觀，向全體師生發表以「非學問無以建設」為題的演說。

Dr. Sun Yat-sen 's first visit to Lingnan was on 3May 1912. He delivered a speech to the faculty and students on the topic "No Construction is Possible without Learning".
