Biography
Mr Roger Yuen Kwong-ming is a seasoned banker with over 38 years of banking experience. Mr Yuen had a rich portfolio working for foreign banks. Back in 1991, he was appointed the first General Manager for Citibank N.A. in Shanghai where he built up resourceful rapport in China’s financial capital. Turning into the new millennium, Mr Yuen served the AIG private Bank Ltd in Hong Kong as Deputy Chief Executive and Head of Private Banking for the Asia Pacific region. From 2006 to 2016, he served the Bank of East Asia Limited in Hong Kong as Head of Private Banking for China and Taiwan, and currently as Head of Business Development for Greater China. He became a director of the Hong Kong Chinese Importers’ & Exporters’ Association and a director of Guangdong Chamber of Commerce since 2008, and was appointed a member of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference for the Shanghai Municipality since 2006. Mr Yuen has a genuine interest in serving the community, especially in the two related areas of education and youth affairs. He was an appointed member of the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications from 1999 to 2005, and has served as Deputy Chairman of the Court and member of the Council of Lingnan University with enormous contributions to the University’s development.
