Description
Hong Kong independent films offer a wealth of treasures for cultural analysis. This forum aims to examine the poetics and politics of gender and sexuality in Hong Kong independent films made outside the mainstream, industrial cinema. We will feature the appearances of two indie filmmakers, Yau Ching and Tammy Cheung, who will join two scholars, Natalia Chan and Esther Cheung, to explore how film is used as a form of social and cultural criticism.
