Biography
Mr Dominic Ng, Chairman and CEO of East West Bank, is a native of Hong Kong and currently resides in California. Named by Forbes as one of the 25 most notable Chinese Americans and one of the 100 most influential people in Los Angeles by the Los Angeles Times, Mr Ng transformed California-based East West Bank from a small savings and loan association into one of the 30 largest banks in the US. Mr Ng was a Certified Public Accountant and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston and an honorary doctor of law degree from Occidental College. He serves as the Chairman of the Committee of 100 and on the boards of directors of Mattel, Inc. and the Pacific Council on International Policy. He is an advisory committee member of the Resnick Institute at the California Institute of Technology and served on the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, Los Angeles Branch from 2005 to 2010.
