Abstract

The article is an output related to my 2-year GRF project on Vietnamese boat people, which has attracted attention among academics globally. The book has been purchased by 53 libraries around the world (mostly in the US) and 5 local universities (HKU, CUHK, CityU, PolyU, and Lingnan). It has been cited in a PhD thesis (“Chinese Migration and the Making of a Global Humanitarian Agenda,” by Laura Madokoro UBC History PhD thesis), in an article published in Asian Anthropology (1683478X) 2012, Vol. 11, pp. 183-186, and in a book reviews in Asian Studies Review; Dec2012, Vol. 36 Issue 4, pp. 580-581.
