Abstract

The article discus the new records of freshwater turtles in Guangdong, China. Accordingly, 15 species of freshwater turtles are recorded at the subtropical province of Guangdong. It says that Guangdong is the largest consumer of turtle and with destroying of habitat has affected the wild chelonian populations. As the study cites in Guangdong is explored, it found freshwater turtle species including 28 platysternon megacephalu gray, 9 geomyda spengleri gmelin, and 4 sacalia bealei gray.
