Volume 4 (2013) 2012/2013 Academic Year Issue

Comments and Greetings from the Editor…

It is with a great sense of honour that I present to you the 2012/2013 academic year issue of the Lingnan Journal of Banking, Finance and Economics. Postgraduate education is expected to equip students with not only the ability to read and make meaning of academic research in their fields of study but also the ability to convey their own thoughts in academic writings. Students of the MIBF programme at Lingnan University amply demonstrate these abilities in their works presented in this journal.

Whichever career paths that students may embark on after this programme, one certainty is that they would have to work with people from different backgrounds. In working on these papers, students with different temperaments, educational and cultural backgrounds have had to work together. By so doing, it is hoped that students will be afforded the opportunity to experience the diversity that awaits them in the real world.

I wish to take this opportunity to thank students, lecturers and all other staff members of the of the MIBF programme whose contributions have made this project a success. Any comments or queries may be sent to theophiluseshun@ln.hk.
